Comments: My family and I stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night. Despite the restaurant being very busy, the courteous server sat and tended to my party of 6 almost immediately. The authentic Mexican food served at Marissa’s on Paramount in Downey was excellent, the month watering greens were fresh cool and crisp, and fresh salsa bar was clean and offered many choices ranging from very hot to a delectable mild tomato, onion and cilantro relish. I was especially impressed when the restaurant owner, Mr. Fidel Palomo personally came out to greet and hold a brief discussion with us and most of his customers in the restaurant at the time. I would highly recommend Marissa’s to you and your family when you’re looking for that authentic real Mexican food… Frank Garcia

Comments: My experience at Marisa's Mexican Restaurant has been quite pleasant and has led to my recurring visits to their establishment. As one is welcomed by friendly and attentive employees, one gets captivated by the delectable scent of a "home cooked" meal being prepared. While one is admiring the ambiance and the art work that ties in the feeling of comfort, the owner of the establishment circulates the restaurant greeting his customers individually. Not only does he provide amicable conversation and details on the origination of the artwork, but he also provides recommendations on what to order (depending on what the customer is in the mood for), all the while catering to the customers needs. The food is prepared in a manner very reminiscent of family gatherings where individuals will prepare the best meal they can make. As a customer with hectic hours and often times unable to prepare my own meals, I am elated at the ability to have the quality of a home cooked at Marisa's Restaurant.

Comments: Marisa's Restaurant Management and staff do a great job upholding the highest of quality but still making you feel right at home. I experience this quality at least once a week. Time after time, from the Carne asada mini tacos to the chili colorado plate they are always satisfying my mexican taste buds, wash these plates down with some of the coldest beer in town and you'll go home very satisfied. I would recommend them for any occasion.

We design Commerical kitchens, and when i ate at this establishment, i was hooked by the decore, service, and most of all the Great Food. If you have wondered what happened to the true Mexican Cusine, well this hidden treasure has been found. Look no further, and tell a "Friend". I can guarantee you that there is no place like this is the City that has all cultures of food. But this will be limited no more, as this place will be in Vegas, and will show there cusine, and true hertiage of Mexican Food. All i can say WOW. If i could get this food federal expressed every night, i would do it. Viva Mexico, and salute to Fidel, and family, much success.
