Comments: I have not camped at the park, but have swam at the park several times. The staff is professional and have always been kind to me and my family. The cost to go swimming is not expensive, and even a couple times that we arrived in the later afternoon, no fee was charged at all! What a bargain. The beach was very clean and had no visible trash on it at all. I took my nephew and niece there many times and they love it! We have also seen deer and other wildlife there. I highly recommend the park to everyone and would like to thank all the staff!

Comments: We spend endless weekends on Stephen A. Forbes Lake, and enjoy everyone of them. Aside from the fact there are no fish in the lake, and the marina operator shows too much skin, it makes for a wonderful weekend getaway. The food at the Leaky Bucket is excellent. I have never had anything bad at the restaraunt. Maybe, we just haven't fished the right spots, and maybe we have just looked in the wrong spots.

Comments: We was at this park Sunday and we found the worker at the camp site to be very rude and unprofessional. If you are planning to spend time at this park you better reconsider it.

Comments: I would like to say that we camped at this campground 2 times last year and spent 2 weeks each time. We had the best time. We were there in June and again in Sept. The hostess was so very kind and very helpful. She was alot of help when it came to keeping a close eye on the campground. There was someone riding around all the time making sure someone was'nt causing a problem in the campground. We really appreciated them staying on top of things. The employees of this state park were very nice to work with. The lady that runs the boat marina was really very nice and she was willing to make sure we got everything we needed. The boat marina was very clean and nice. There was only one thing we noticed that could have been cleaned alittle better is the fire burners. It would be nice if they were cleaned out after a camper left. I would like to say to the employees at the state park, We are returning in June and again in Sept. to this wonderful campground. " KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Comments: I would like to say to all of the disabled people in illinois that want to camp at this park. They charge you to camp in the tent area which is a primitive site and has no electric or showers! Weekends cost you 8 dollars a nite! The area wasnt clean when we started camping labor day weekend Garbage all over the place even in the woods!! The host was very rude that weekend to people! I was called a liar when i told them that site is supposed to be free for p2a cards. They said since there is a shower in the rv sites that we have to pay to stay in the primitive site. The park itself is very nice. The fishing not very good at all. There also is no drive up access like there is in the rv sites and we still have to pay to put a tent up..I would like to say over all I would never camp there again its been my worst experience ever camping in the state of illinois, I would think about going to a different site if you have a choice of where to camp!! All of my camping will be elsewhere forever!!!
