Comments: Hood River is a great and excellent place to enjoy various things at one place, if you love to hike - go there, if you love to kite - go there, if you love to bike - go there if you love nature - you have to go there .......... but: to the idiot who wrote this! "We don't like tourists and we sure don't like outsiders moving here......!!" I am a foreigner and married to a beautiful oregonian women and Oregon is by far the best place to live in the US and I love Hood River. When you were living already everywhere then I think you are the outsider! I don't understand the guy who wrote the bad review but he probably met the guy mentioned above. Enjoy Hood River its a fun place to be and a friendly place to hang out!!!

Comments: Disappointed in Hood River doesn't like our town...GOOD!! Stay away! We don't like tourists and we sure don't like outsiders moving here!! I love the small town atmosphere and the locals are GREAT! I have lived all over the place, from the east coast to Hawaii and Hood River suits me the best! If you want to visit Hood River, visit the out of the way places, like Mount Hood, take a scenic drive in the country. There are eating places that do not cost an arm & a leg. If you go downtown to eat or do any shopping, then yes, things do cost more as downtown does cater to tourists. Hood River is a really wonderful Place!!!

Comments: The individual who wrote the sick review of Hood River is to be pitied. Apparently he didn't look around him to really see Hood River and the Hood River Valley. Much of interest and importance to see and experience. I should know as I was born and raised here, as was my father and grandfather came in 1891 as an 11 year old. Don"t pay any attention to that person, he obviously didn't get out and enjoy all the "free" things offered in this area.

Comments: Do not waste your time in Hood River - all they want is your money! Tourist are treated like outsiders. The food is mediocre and over priced. Oregon is full of beautiful places with hospitable hosts - do not waste your time in the small town attitude disappointing nook of Oregon!
